Winds of Change

At the recent Committee meeting of July 11, 2023, five long serving members made the well deserved decision to step down and enjoy the results of their lengthy periods of effort to the Victoria West Coast Swing Collective community.

In order of first name, Carol Fulton, Eydie Wood, Lindsay Moir, Murray McAllindon, and Sue Holloway retired from Committee, amidst accolades of thanks.

Murray was a founding member of the Collective in 2015, with Eydie, Lindsay, and Sue joining in 2017. Carol joined in 2022. See Murray’s history of the Collective here.

New Committee Composition

The work is carried on by new Committee members (in order of first name) Bob Gebbie, Donna Forsyth, Kristen Jantz, and Wally Choo, along with recent members Melanie MacIsaac, Sophia Peng, and Wayne Rayner.

The new Committee’s members are very conscious of having mighty big dancing shoes to fill, to maintain the legacy of those stepping down…

And the beat goes on and on!
